INTRO TO CLAY: 3 WEEK SAMPLER
In this 3 part class you will get a chance to experience handbuilding, wheel throwing and on the last week glazing.
Week 1: Experience the excitement of making with clay through handbuilding. We will be using an assortment of handbuilding techniques including slab, coil and pinch methods. Different from the wheel, you will be able to actually create your vision and bring it to life in just a short amount of time. This offering is perfect for gift making too! Feel free to bring textures (stamps, plants and more) to the class. We will work to turn your vision into reality.
Week 2: Get a step by step introduction to wheel throwing and take our studio for a spin. We walk you through the steps of making a pot on the wheel and have fun while doing it!
Week 3: Learn to glaze your work. We will demo the art of the dunk, dip and paint your handbuilt and wheel thrown creations.
