Join us for one or both of our summer sessions! Students who register for the full 12-week experience will also receive bonus access to the studio during our intermission week, with open studio hours available for continued practice.
This class is perfect for beginners and returning students alike. Whether you’re sitting at the wheel for the first time or looking to refine your skills, there’s something here for you. Teens on a break from school? You are welcome to join!
What You'll Learn:
-
New students will learn the fundamentals of centering clay on the wheel and creating basic forms like cylinders, bowls, and more.
-
Returning students will explore more advanced techniques, including throwing larger forms, lidded vessels, assembling multi-part pieces, creating matching sets, and developing intentional design practices both before and after making.
Lessons are guided by student interest, with wheel throwing as the main focus. Handbuilding techniques will also be introduced when they support your creative goals. Each class begins with a demonstration, followed by dedicated wheel time.
