This relaxed and creative class of for those who have taken an 6-8 week long handbuilding class within the last 2 years and/or have received basic instruction in pinch, coil and slab work. This allows returning students looking to deepen their skills a place to continue their handbuilding practice. 

What You’ll Learn:
In this 8 week series, students will dive deeper into foundational techniques of handbuilding with clay—pinching, coiling, and slab construction. We'll work through guided projects together, while also offering space and support for personal exploration and independent ideas outside of class.

Each session will emphasize form, design, and technique, giving you the confidence to build everything from functional pottery to sculptural pieces. Students with prior experience will be encouraged to refine their craftsmanship and take on more complex projects.

• 25 lb. bag of clay

• Instructional time with an experienced ceramic artist

• Access to 10+ studio glazes

• Use of shared community tools (basic tool kits are required)

• 4 hours of optional open studio time per week

• Additional practice hours available at $15 per 2-hour block
